Event Planning to Add an Element of Fun

When I ask Rocky Mountain brides to describe their dream wedding, they often say that their number one priority is to make sure their guests can unwind and let loose. There are lots of ways to add elements of fun to your wedding, which is why SoulSpark Events wedding planners work hard to find creative activities for your special event. Whether you are looking for a day of coordinator, or a full package event planner, our team brings the necessary experience to the table to make sure your dreams are realized.

This summer, we had the pleasure of working with some awesome, fun loving couples in the Yampa Valley. Having a relaxed and inviting environment was a priority for Jennifer and Andy, who tied the knot at Four Points Lodge at the Steamboat Springs Resort. Jennifer and Andy wanted a laid back atmosphere for their summer mountain wedding, so together we brainstormed and settled upon these elements:

*Sunglasses for everyone to watch sunset (blue to match the theme, good quality so guests could take them home)

*Home-made gelato for dessert served from a gelato cart (our local favorite vendor was a personal recommendation)

*No linens on dining tables to create a more natural look (no stuffy dinner feel here)

*Something borrowed, something new, something old, something...Blue shoes for the bride (to tie together the theme!)

*Water bottles engraved with the wedding logo for everyone to drink on the gondola ride (we LOVE eco-friendly, reusable wedding party favors)

*Home-made photo booth with an old fashioned polaroid camera (can you tell we wanted the guests to have a great goody bag to remind them of the awesome wedding?)

Personalized touches made their Rocky Mountain wedding mirror what makes Steamboat Springs so special--community togetherness, good food, and better views. Best of all, everyone smiled and danced the night away - fun was had by all!
