Lauren and Jimmi, September 9, 2017

I LOVE weddings at Perry Mansfield. But truth be told, I'm a little biased as this is where I choose to to tie the knot! So when Lauren called me a year prior to her wedding and asked me to coordinate her wedding I was thrilled. This historic venue brings together all the key Colorado 'must haves' - an intimate aspen grove ceremony site, rustic wood cabins, mountain vistas and a reception venue with floor to ceiling windows so you can admire the evening alpen glow. Most people don't know that Perry Mansfield Performing Arts Camp was established back in the early 1900s by Charlotte Perry and Portia Mansfield’s - their vision was to explore and teach “natural dance forms” and artistic expression “close to creatures and mountains and out-of-doors.” Today Perry-Mansfield is the oldest continuously operating performing arts camp in the country that attracts 250 students every summer.

Lauren and Jimmi stumbled upon Perry Mansfield after researching various wedding locations throughout Colorado. However, in retrospect, it's not surprising that Perry Mansfield was the perfect place for them as it combines their love of the outdoors with a love of the arts. Two areas close to Lauren and Jimmi's hearts.

Lauren and Jimmi wanted a casual, fun and personal wedding and we spent many hours brainstorming how to achieve their goals. The aspen grove provided the backdrop for the ceremony and included an aspen arch made by friends and family. Guests were greeted with cones of dried lavender and hand painted signs. Once the ceremony was over, guests walked through the forest to the pavilion where lawn games, a giant jenga and cocktails awaited them. Instead of a traditional sit down dinner, Lauren and Jimmi choose to serve wood fire pizza made on-site followed by an incredible array of desserts including locally made glitter encrusted donuts and cupcakes. A photo booth provided guests with the opportunity to dress up, be silly and create a memorable photo album for the bride and groom. When I reminisce about Lauren and Jimmi's wedding, the smiles and laughter on everyone's faces comes to mind which is evident from Jessica's beautiful photos. Coupled with this fun loving atmosphere was a bohemian, artistic tone created by unique table decorations incorporating driftwood, air plants, succulents and crystals. Lauren's artistic eye and vision ensured that no details went untouched - the sweetheart table included heirloom china and a fun and gorgeous artistic hula hoop installment adorned one of the walls. Wow!

I could go on but I will let Jessica's photos tell the rest of the story......oh and that first look...wow..that was one of the most beautiful first looks I have ever seen. The light softly filtered through the trees creating a stunning backdrop for a stunning couple.

Congratulations to two beautiful souls. I hope your journey together is blessed with laughter and smiles every day!
